A Place for Children serves a wide range of children with special needs, many of whom have cerebral palsy, Down’s Syndrome or general developmental delays, as well as autism or sensory integration disorders.

Whatever brings children to us, we know that they can benefit from early identification and early intervention. That’s why we make early identification easy for parents who suspect their child may have a delay, with a free preliminary evaluation. We can also assist you in connecting with all of the resources and services you and your child might need, including therapeutic services provided by the State of Illinois, if your child is under age 3.

At A Place for Children, our state-licensed therapists will tailor a therapy program to the specific needs of your child, drawing on a comprehensive range of evaluation and treatment options that include:
